Tottori Rover Challenge 2026

From March 19–21, we competed in the Tottori Rover Challenge and took 4th place! What was particularly important to us was that we were the only team from outside Japan allowed to participate in the expert category.
However, we won’t hide the fact that this trip was a huge test for us, and not just from an engineering perspective. Once there, we faced communication challenges—both the language barrier and issues with our rover. Additionally, complex and highly restrictive Japanese legal regulations did not help in resolving technical issues. Despite this, we are very satisfied with the trip, as it provided us with valuable knowledge about our new rover and allowed us to experience the unique Japanese work culture.

⭐Transfer Multisort Elektronik ⭐- our Main Partner

Contemporary engineering requires the use of modern technologies. For our Scientific Society, cooperation with Transfer Multisort Elektronik constitutes the foundation of development. TME, that is Transfer Multisort Elektronik, is one of the world’s leading distributors of electronic and electrotechnical components as well as industrial automation solutions. The company operates an advanced logistics center that dispatches thousands of shipments every day to more than 150 countries.

Transfer Multisort Elektronik: experience, scale, and global reach

The TME brand, present on the market since 1989, is primarily associated with professionalism and reliability in supplying components for industry. Its portfolio includes more than 1,300,000 products sourced from approximately 1,300 renowned manufacturers. Such scale and access to extensive infrastructure enable the company to serve as the Main Patron of our Scientific Society, providing us with the technologies necessary for the construction of a Mars rover analogue.

Our relationship with Transfer Multisort Elektronik represents not only exceptional financial support but, above all, a partnership grounded in technical and substantive cooperation. In the construction of a rover that must operate in difficult terrain and under variable environmental conditions, the reliability of every component is of crucial importance. Thanks to access to certified components, our drive systems demonstrate the durability required in international competitions of the Rover Challenge type.

Building a Mars rover with Transfer Multisort Elektronik

Owing to the support of TME, the design and construction process of the Mars rover analogue is based on components of the highest quality. This cooperation constitutes the technical foundation of our successes, enabling the implementation of innovative solutions that allow our rover to compete with the best teams in the world and to represent Poland on the international stage.

Minister of Science and Higher Education

Today, we had the honor of presenting the results of our work on the Mars rover 🤖🚀 to Marcin Kulasek, Minister of Science and Higher Education. It was a unique event for us ✨. Our rover gained a new operator 🎮. The Minister had the opportunity to take control of it himself 🛰️. The conversation culminated in a commemorative photo 📸. We would like to express our sincere thanks for the opportunity to participate in such an important event.
